David Klein is a Certified Public Accountant, Senior Ad Valorem Tax Consultant and retired Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and Real Estate Broker. Mr. Klein holds a BA in economics, BS and MBA in accounting, all from Rice University. Mr. Klein has many years of experience in tax consulting, appraising, real estate development, and ranching, timber, agriculture and oil and gas industries. Among others, he was the owner of Klein and Associates, a property tax consulting and appraising company, and co-owner of NewQuest Properties which provided commercial real estate development services. In 2007, Mr. Klein was owner of Klein Equities and Belgeo-Belize, as well as Klein Farm and Timber Co. Throughout the years, Mr. Klein has served as a Director on many Boards, including Houston Center for Literacy, Children’s Center for Self-Esteem, Klein Bank, Cypress Creek Christian Church, Klein ISD Educational Foundation, Cypress Creek Community Center, and GOOSE Capital of Texas, Boy Scouts of America-Phoenix District; Board member and Treasurer for A.A.&R.T Klein Charitable Trust Fund, Mercer Botanic Gardens and Mercer Endowment Fund; Council member on Council of Advisors for Jones Business School of Rice University and nominated to Board of Trustees for Rice University. Additionally, Mr. Klein has served as a fundraiser for Rice Alumni Association and Child Legacy International.
