2025 CSB Dogwood Dash

Citizens State Bank (CSB) is proud to announce the continued success of the 2025 CSB Dogwood Dash, a beloved 5K Fun Run that kicked off Queen’s Weekend of the 81st Annual Tyler County Dogwood Festival, the state’s longest-running outdoor festival.

Despite threatening weather, more than 150 enthusiastic runners, ranging in age from just 8 weeks to 84 years, came together to celebrate this cherished community tradition. Fortunately, the rain held off, allowing runners, volunteers, and spectators to enjoy a day filled with excitement.

The scenic course wound through the beautiful streets of Woodville, offering a perfect backdrop for families, friends, and neighbors to cheer on participants. Runners showcased not only speed and endurance but also creativity—many wore colorful costumes that delighted the crowd. Highlights included a firefighter completing the race in full gear and families running side-by-side, showing that the Dogwood Dash is truly an event for all ages.

Beyond the race, local vendors set up booths in the CSB parking lot, offering delicious treats, handmade crafts, and entertainment that added to the festive atmosphere. The day concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the fastest runners, the oldest participants, and those who best captured the spirit of the Dash.

CSB’s long-standing commitment to the Dogwood Dash was recently recognized with the Cornerstone Award from the Texas Bankers Association, honoring the bank’s decades of service and dedication to the community.

As the 2025 Dogwood Dash wraps up another memorable year, Citizens State Bank extends heartfelt thanks to the runners, volunteers, and community members who make this event possible. Plans are already underway to ensure the 2026 Dogwood Dash is the best one yet.
